Milan-born, London-based jewellery designer Vanessa Pederzani creates jewellery collections for a new generation of contemporary, design-conscious, feisty women. There is gentleness at times, playfulness, and boldness at others, but all her pieces have in common distinctive craftsmanship and unpredictable charm.
A trained gemologist, who honed her expertise at Pederzani Jewellery, her family business founded in Milan in 1947, and then at Christie’s and Sotheby’s, before striking out on her own, Vanessa exercises a unique approach. Her passion for coloured gemstones, nature, and details, inspires her to create unique jewels that resemble miniature art pieces.
The Pederzani name brings with it the kudos of three generations of an Italian family who have served as jewellers to European industrialists, royalty and celebrities.
In 2016, Vanessa Pederzani was invited by one of the world’s largest jewellery companies, Chow Tai Fook, as a guest designer to create a traceable diamonds
bridal collection now available in stores across Asia.
In 2019, Vanessa Pederzani was chosen as a winner in International Jewellery London’s Kickstart competition and was selected to exhibit at the inaugural Milan Jewellery Week as part of the Italian jewellery show Artistar Jewels held at Milan’s 18th century Palazzo Bovara.
Vanessa Pederzani divides her time between the Vanessa Pederzani brand collections, bespoke commissions from private clients and special projects for jewellery houses.
Inspired by accomplished women and their contemporary struggles and triumphs, the thinking behind Vanessa Pederzani’s design ideas is always as compelling as the jewellery itself. Press coverage about Vanessa Pederzani typically focuses on her design philosophy, her personal style and Asia’s enduring appetite for creative talent from the West.
